We Offer Flexible Meeting Options
At Hicks Law, LLC, we understand that it can be difficult to drive to an office to meet with an attorney, especially if you have kids. So, we offer three methods for meeting our clients.
- In-Person Home Visits. We understand if traveling to meet us seems daunting, especially when kids are involved. To make meetings more convenient for you, we are willing to travel to you and meet in your home.
- In-Person Public Space Visits. Alternatively, we can choose a public space near you, like a library or coffee shop. Not having our own dedicated office space allows us the flexibility to choose meeting locations closer to you, so you don’t have to travel as far.
- Virtual Meetings. If meeting in person is not necessary for you, we are willing to meet with you virtually for the majority of our meetings, with one caveat. The only meeting that we require to be in-person is when any documents will need to be witnessed and notarized, which is usually at the end.
We Service All of Ohio.
By offering to travel to you or meeting virtually, we are capable of serving clients all over Ohio. Please see our policy on our Travel Fees below.
We Only Charge Flat Rate Fees.
Unlike many law firms, we don’t believe in charging hourly rates. We want you to know exactly how much you can anticipate spending before you even get a bill. This means that, no matter how many phone calls or emails we answer for you and no matter how long it takes, your bill will remain the same. There will be no surprises when it comes to your bill.
Travel Fees Policy
In general, if you live within 20 miles of Grove City, Ohio, we will not charge any travel fees. If you live more than 20 miles from Grove City, Ohio, we will charge a minimal mileage fee. Please see the map below for a general no-travel fee radius. Whether or not a travel fee will apply to you will depend on the exact location of where we meet.
- The milage fee will only begin for any distance greater than the 20-mile radius. So, if you live 40 miles away, then the mileage fee will only apply for 20 miles.
- Like our flat rate fees, you will know exactly how much our travel fees will be for you before they are incurred.
